For the record, Chi’s voice actress also plays Togepi in Pokemon and more importantly, Ushio in Clannad! Her name is Satomi Koorogi and the song is called Ouchi ga Ichiban. Please keep in mind that Chi is supposed to talk like a baby, so a bunch of her words are mispronounced hence the actual word in parentheses.
Believe it or not, this is actually directed at adults, but my daughters both loved watching it with me. Unless you totally hate cats or are allergic to uber kawaiiness, you should give this anime a try. Even though it’s a hefty 104 episodes, the series is only a little over 5 hours in length. Heck, even if you have 30 minutes to spare, you can zip through the first 10 episodes to see if you like it.

Now, this moreso applies to the sequel series, but early on, there was a moment where I almost cried. I almost cried during a 3-minute short about an animated cat named "Chi". I won't spoil either of the two sagas in Chi's life, because I want you to experience it for yourself.
Chi's Sweet Adventure (こねこのチー ポンポンらー大冒険, Kyō no Koneko no Chi) is an anime television series adaption of the same name of manga. While being housebroken, the kitten mistakenly answers to "Chi" (as in shi- from shikko, the Japanese word for "urine") and this becomes her name. Chi then lives with her new family, learning about different things and meeting new people and animals. Home is where the heart is, and there is nothing closer to it than family.

If you don't like cats, or animals in general..I can't guarantee that this show will do it for you. But if you do like those things, you might just like them even more. The opening theme song is "Hey" (Nee, ねぇ) performed by Perfume.
In my opinion, Chi’s Sweet Home is the best anime about a pet. It’s suitable for all ages, and you may even learn a few things about cats. Apartment complex, so the Yamada family must keep Chi out of sight, especially from the landlady. Chi’s Sweet Home is not only entertaining, but enlightening for future cat owners like me. I had no idea about some of the things I’d have to go through while owning a cat, until I watched this anime. The anime series is directed by Mitsuyuki Masuhara and produced by Madhouse, the first episode aired on 31 March 2008.

The parents and the little boy are mainly there to serve their role of caring for and disciplining Chi. Soon they will feel like distant relatives or close neighbors.
